Ink & Share Blog Hop - Happy Holidays

Welcome to November's Ink & Share Scrapbook Blog

This month's theme is

You may have joined me from Alison's blog or perhaps you are starting you journey here with me, I hope that you like our creations and the they give you inspiration as you hop around the world.

As I had lost my Scrapbookin' MOJO recently I decided that I would case a layout that I had seen out there in blog land - sorry I can't remember who it was.

The layout uses some of the elements from the Christmas Whimsy Card Kit which is available whilst stocks last.

Firstly I created the back ground using the Balmy Blue Ink with a Blending brush then stamped the stars  from the Christmas Whimsy Card Kit, in Night of Navy ink.

I then tore another sheet of Basic White to make the hills of snow. Using a retired die I cut out some trees in the Evergreen Elegance card stock, I adhered these and the "elements" from the Christmas Whimsy Card kit using Stampin' Dimensionals.

The Stampin' Up! supplies used to create this layout can be ordered via my Online store here.Be sure to use this months hostess code, which can be found in the side bar to receive a little something for me if your order is under £150.

Please remember to leave me a comment below, before you continue hoping on over to see what Sharon  has created using this months theme.

Ink.Stamp.Share Blog Hop - Tree Decoration

Welcome to the Ink. Stamp. Share Monthly Blog Hop .....this months theme is to

"Make a decoration, something you can hang from the Christmas Tree"

The projects are designed by fellow Stampin’ Up! Independent Demonstrators from around the world.

You may have joined me from Angie's blog or perhaps you are starting your journey here with me. I hope you like our creations and that they give you inspiration.

For my decoration I choose to stamp onto a wooden slice using the Peaceful Cabin Stamp set from the July - December Mini Catalog. I was a bit hesitant to begin with using inks in this way and my first attempt was a bit wonky when I hung it up I forgot to center the hole at the top but to the side.

Here is my second attempt  and I love how it turned out, the inks I used were - Early Espresso, Old Olive, Smoky Slate, Coastal Cabana.  Although the Cabin set has trees in it they where a little big so I used one from the Evergreen Elegance Stamp set.

For the sentiment I used a Stampin' write Marker on a retired stamp. To make the snow appear to glisten I painted it carefully with Wink of Stella. And to hang it on the tree I used a piece of Real Red Double Satin Ribbon.

As I was so pleased at how it turned out, I'm using it as a project at my Christmas workshop this weekend.

The Stampin' Up! supplies used to create this card can be ordered via my Online store here.  Don't forget to use this month's hostess code which can be found in the side bar, to receive a little something from me, if you order is under £150.

Ink.Stamp.Share Showcase Blog Hop- November

Welcome to the Ink. Stamp. Share Showcase Blog Hop .....the purpose of this hop is to show you what we have all been working on during the month.

The projects are designed by fellow Stampin’ Up! Independent Demonstrators from around the world.

You may have joined me from  Angie's  blog or perhaps you are starting your journey here with me. I hope you like our creations and that they give you inspiration.

For my showcase project I'm going to share with you is a project I made using the Welcoming Woods stamp set from the Mini Catalogue with the Bark 3D embossing folder.

I wanted to create an autumnal card using this set, especially seeing the leaves changing colours on my drive to and from work.

So I grabbed some Cajun Craze card stock for my base and decided to be a bit different and do Z-fold card. I ran a piece of Sahara Sand through the Stampin' Emboss & Cut Machine with the Bark 3D embossing folder.

I stamped the trees from the Welcoming Woods stamp set in Sahara Sand on to a piece of Very Vanilla card stock before adding leaves in both Cajun Craze and Crushed Curry inks - not two colours I often reach for.  Remembering to  decorate the inside of my card with a few at the same time.

The sentiment is from the same set and stamped in Soft Suede and to finish this off I added a knot using the Gold Shimmer Ribbon and added a couple of the Gold pearls from the Metallic Pearls pack.

The Stampin' Up! supplies used to create this card can be ordered via my Online store here.  Don't forget to use this month's hostess code which is GVPFAMDE , to receive a little something from me.
