Ink.Stamp.Share Showcase Blog Hop- December

Welcome to the Ink. Stamp. Share Showcase Blog Hop .....the purpose of this hop is to show you what we have all been working on during the month.

The projects are designed by fellow Stampin’ Up! Independent Demonstrators from around the world.

You may have joined me from  Angie's   blog or perhaps you are starting your journey here with me. I hope you like our creations and that they give you inspiration.

For my showcase project I'm going to share with you is a project I made for my Christmas Retreat.

Having purchased so Glass Coasters we set about decorating them using a variety of stamp sets... the two shown here use Peaceful Cabin and  Arctic Bear stamp sets which both have co-ordinating dies and sadly these are all on the Last Chance list - so if you really like them then I would get them before you regret it.

Firstly we stamped the main image on to the reverse of the glass coaster using stazon on ink (remember that the image would be reversed so if using sentiments or alphabets be very careful). Once this was dried, we mixed acrylic white paint with a re inker to produce the colour we wanted and then sponged this onto the coaster.

One tip we did learn that you have to wait between layers/different colours to dry before adding another layer.

I photographed them both on a piece of white card stock and a piece of black and I'm not sure which one I prefer - the darker because it looks more like a winter snow storm or the white as its a little more gentle which do you prefer??

The Stampin' Up! supplies used to create this card can be ordered via my Online store here.  Don't forget to use this month's hostess code which can be found in the side bar, to receive a little something from me if your order is under £150.

Ink & Share Blog Hop - Happy Holidays

Welcome to November's Ink & Share Scrapbook Blog

This month's theme is

You may have joined me from Alison's blog or perhaps you are starting you journey here with me, I hope that you like our creations and the they give you inspiration as you hop around the world.

As I had lost my Scrapbookin' MOJO recently I decided that I would case a layout that I had seen out there in blog land - sorry I can't remember who it was.

The layout uses some of the elements from the Christmas Whimsy Card Kit which is available whilst stocks last.

Firstly I created the back ground using the Balmy Blue Ink with a Blending brush then stamped the stars  from the Christmas Whimsy Card Kit, in Night of Navy ink.

I then tore another sheet of Basic White to make the hills of snow. Using a retired die I cut out some trees in the Evergreen Elegance card stock, I adhered these and the "elements" from the Christmas Whimsy Card kit using Stampin' Dimensionals.

The Stampin' Up! supplies used to create this layout can be ordered via my Online store here.Be sure to use this months hostess code, which can be found in the side bar to receive a little something for me if your order is under £150.

Please remember to leave me a comment below, before you continue hoping on over to see what Sharon  has created using this months theme.

Ink.Stamp.Share Blog Hop - Tree Decoration

Welcome to the Ink. Stamp. Share Monthly Blog Hop .....this months theme is to

"Make a decoration, something you can hang from the Christmas Tree"

The projects are designed by fellow Stampin’ Up! Independent Demonstrators from around the world.

You may have joined me from Angie's blog or perhaps you are starting your journey here with me. I hope you like our creations and that they give you inspiration.

For my decoration I choose to stamp onto a wooden slice using the Peaceful Cabin Stamp set from the July - December Mini Catalog. I was a bit hesitant to begin with using inks in this way and my first attempt was a bit wonky when I hung it up I forgot to center the hole at the top but to the side.

Here is my second attempt  and I love how it turned out, the inks I used were - Early Espresso, Old Olive, Smoky Slate, Coastal Cabana.  Although the Cabin set has trees in it they where a little big so I used one from the Evergreen Elegance Stamp set.

For the sentiment I used a Stampin' write Marker on a retired stamp. To make the snow appear to glisten I painted it carefully with Wink of Stella. And to hang it on the tree I used a piece of Real Red Double Satin Ribbon.

As I was so pleased at how it turned out, I'm using it as a project at my Christmas workshop this weekend.

The Stampin' Up! supplies used to create this card can be ordered via my Online store here.  Don't forget to use this month's hostess code which can be found in the side bar, to receive a little something from me, if you order is under £150.

Ink.Stamp.Share Showcase Blog Hop- November

Welcome to the Ink. Stamp. Share Showcase Blog Hop .....the purpose of this hop is to show you what we have all been working on during the month.

The projects are designed by fellow Stampin’ Up! Independent Demonstrators from around the world.

You may have joined me from  Angie's  blog or perhaps you are starting your journey here with me. I hope you like our creations and that they give you inspiration.

For my showcase project I'm going to share with you is a project I made using the Welcoming Woods stamp set from the Mini Catalogue with the Bark 3D embossing folder.

I wanted to create an autumnal card using this set, especially seeing the leaves changing colours on my drive to and from work.

So I grabbed some Cajun Craze card stock for my base and decided to be a bit different and do Z-fold card. I ran a piece of Sahara Sand through the Stampin' Emboss & Cut Machine with the Bark 3D embossing folder.

I stamped the trees from the Welcoming Woods stamp set in Sahara Sand on to a piece of Very Vanilla card stock before adding leaves in both Cajun Craze and Crushed Curry inks - not two colours I often reach for.  Remembering to  decorate the inside of my card with a few at the same time.

The sentiment is from the same set and stamped in Soft Suede and to finish this off I added a knot using the Gold Shimmer Ribbon and added a couple of the Gold pearls from the Metallic Pearls pack.

The Stampin' Up! supplies used to create this card can be ordered via my Online store here.  Don't forget to use this month's hostess code which is GVPFAMDE , to receive a little something from me.

Ink.Stamp.Share Blog Hop - Tic Tac Toe

Welcome to the Ink. Stamp. Share Monthly Blog Hop .....this months theme is

"Tic Tac Toe"

The projects are designed by fellow Stampin’ Up! Independent Demonstrators from around the world.

You may have joined me from Angie's blog or perhaps you are starting your journey here with me. I hope you like our creations and that they give you inspiration.

For my card I was inspired by a gift bag I found whilst searching for something. It features Christmas trees in a variety of pastel shades.

So with out further ado I reached for my Evergreen Forest 3D embossing folder, Blending Brushes and a selection of inks - Pool Party, Melon Mambo, Coastal Cabana, Fresh Freesia, and Misty moonlight.

Once I was happy with my blending I mounted this onto Silver Foil matte layer and tied some of the gorgeous Metallic Mesh Ribbon round it. To complete the look I added some Coastal Cabana Jewels from the Holiday Rhinestone Jewel Collection and splattered the card with some Wink of Stella

Therefore I claim a diagonal line - Jewels, Ribbon and Christmas and in the process amazed myself of how lovely it turned out.

The Stampin' Up! supplies used to create this card can be ordered via my Online store here.  Don't forget to use this month's hostess code which can be found in the side bar, to receive a little something from me, if you order is under £150.

Ink.Stamp.Share Showcase Blog Hop - September

Welcome to the Ink. Stamp. Share Showcase Blog Hop .....the purpose of this hop is to show you what we have all been working on during the month.

The projects are designed by fellow Stampin’ Up! Independent Demonstrators from around the world.

You may have joined me from Libby's blog or perhaps you are starting your journey here with me. I hope you like our creations and that they give you inspiration.

As soon as I saw the Penguin Place stamp set in the Mini Catalog and Penguin  Playmates DSP in the Sale A Bration offerings, I knew I wanted to pair it with the Mason Jar Shaker Domes and  coordinating Jar Punch in the annual catalog.

This is what I came up with...

Can you tell what I've used for the shaker contents???

The Stampin' Up! supplies used to create this card can be ordered via my Online store here, apart from the shaker contents.

Don't forget to use this month's hostess code which can be found in the side bar, to receive a little something from me, and remember for every £45 spent you'll qualify for a sale a bration item FREE.

Ink & Share Blog Hop - Monochromatic

Welcome to August's Ink & Share Scrapbook Blog

This month's Theme is Monochromatic

You may have joined me from  Dorothea's blog or perhaps you are starting you journey here with me, I hope that you like our creations and the they give you inspiration as you hop around the world.

This month I am sharing with you the layout that I have cased from the talented Sara Levin, I seemed to have lost my MOJO recently for Scrappin' - well ever since I've had my operation and found it difficult to stay seated for a length of time, so used this as a starting block and it seems to have got my creative juices flowing again.

I've used tones of "Orange"  for my layout inspired by the photo I took of a bloom from my trailing Begonias.

To start with I used a wash of Pale Papaya one of the New Incolours and then dropped some Pumpkin Pie Reinkers for the darker effects. Once this had dried I then stamped the foliage from the Forever Fern stamp set in Pumpkin Pie and Mango Melody

The flowers in the jar are coloured in using Wink of Stella and Mango Melody and Pumpkin Pie inks (from the Jar of Flowers stamp set).  Having tested my colour wash on a scrap of paper first I didn't want to waste that so  I've added a few Dragonflies from the Dragonfly Garden stampset and coordinating punch.

All that is left is for me to add my title on the right hand side vertically using the Playful Alphabet dies that I don't have with me at the moment.

I hope you like the layout that I have shared with you. The supplies used to create this layout can be ordered via my Online store hereBe sure to use this months hostess code, which can be found in the side bar to receive a little something for me if your order is under £150. Also if your order is over £45 remember you'll qualify for a SALE a Bration item to.

Ink.Stamp.Share Blog Hop - Autumn/Winter Mini

Welcome to the Ink. Stamp. Share Monthly Blog Hop .....this months theme was to create something using new products from the

Autumn/Winter Mini Catalogue

WOW spoilt for choice as there are loads of lovely new products to choice from, but as I don't have them all I'll be sharing with you a product bundle that I fell in love as soon as I saw it.

You may have joined me from Libby's  blog or perhaps you are starting your journey here with me. The projects are designed by fellow Stampin’ Up! Independent Demonstrators from around the world. I hope you like our creations and that they give you inspiration.

Did you guess my bundle? - Penguin Place  those little Penguins are so cute. For my card I paired it with one of this years sets of  SAB  papers - Beautifully Penned, although there is a coordinating set to this bundle Penguin Playmates.

Having stamped a balloon in Polished Pink ink and a string in Memento black I die cut this out using a die from the Stitched So Sweetly Collection.

Using the Penguin Builder Punch and Penguin Place stamp set I created my cute little Penguin, using Mango Melody for his beak and feet.

To finish off my card I added a couple of the Polished Pink Incolour Jewels and some coordinating ribbon. I'm not really a pink person you would never have guessed looking at this card..LOL  I do hope you like the card I have shared with you today.

The Stampin' Up! supplies used to create this card can be ordered via my Online store here.  Don't forget to use this month's hostess code which can be found in the side bar, to receive a little something from me, if you order is under £150. And remember as its Sale a Bration and your order is over £45 you'll qualify for a SAB item too.
