Artistically Asian

Today I'd like to share with you some cards I made for an organised swap - the theme was  "Simple " and a brief to use

  • One stamp set
  • 3 Ink/card stock colours
  • One extra tool - ie punch, blender pen
  • The use of everyday household items to create special background or techniques is acceptable
  • No Big Shot, embellishments or DSP

I chose to use the Artistically Asian stamp set as it seemed to fit in well with the idea I had in my mind that I wanted create.

Firstly I found some plastic and dabbed that over the Soft Seafoam ink pad before spritzing it with water. I then printed this over the Whisper White card stock. As you can see from the photographs each background came out very differently on all the cards.

I was really pleased that my idea worked.

If you don't already have a demonstrator or are looking for a demonstrator I would be delighted if you choose to order your Stampin' Up! products through me, you can shop with me now via my online store here.

Ink.Stamp.Share - Blog Hop

Welcome to  back to Ink Stamp Share's April blog hop.

The  projects are designed by fellow Stampin’ Up! Independent Demonstrators from around the world.

The theme for this month's blog hop is "Floral"

You may have joined me from Janey's blog or perhaps you are starting your journey here with me. I hope you like our creations and that they give you inspiration.

For my "Floral" project I have created some cards using the Incredible Like You Project Kit, some extra card stock and Incredible Like You stamp set - which my ladies will be making as this blog post goes live.

For this first card I have used one of the elements from the Incredible Like You Project Kit as a mask and daubered through it with my Pool Party Ink.

Then after adding a Stitched Circle with a couple of flowers hand cut  and stamped in Melon Mambo ink with a smooch of Wink of Stella, I then stamped and die cut the  sentiment  from the "Well Said Bundle"

I've made 2 samples of the next card and I can't make up which one I like best, What do you think?? The one on the Gorgeous Grape background or the Plain White one..

Having chosen to stamp the flowers in purples - for a few of my ladies this is their favourite colour, I thought I would make the words pop by cutting them out in Silver foil and added some silver trimmed ribbon.

I'm so glad the Well Said stamp set and Well Written Framelits will be carrying over - so if you like it grab it now as a bundle and save an extra 10% as this discount won't be offered for this bundle in the new catalogue.

I  hope you've liked what I've shared with you - all supplies used  to created these cards can be ordered via my Online store here.

Don't forget to leave me a comment below, before you continue hoping around to see everyone's creations, Pia is next

Ink & Share Scrapbook blog hop - Masculine

Welcome to April's Ink & Share Scrapbook Blog Hop.

The theme chosen for this month's theme is "Masculine"

I was a little unprepared for this as I forgot to print of the photographs I wanted to use with the Classic Garage 6x6 paper stack, so I decided to use one my favourite photos of my husband instead with another collection of Stampin' Up!s DSP

You may have joined me from Karen's blog or perhaps you are starting you journey here with me, I hope that you like our creations and the they give you inspiration as you hop around the world.

I am sharing with a page that I have created using the NEW Mosaic Mood Specialty Designer Series Papers -  these will be available in June in the Annual Catalogue along with other coordinating products from the Mosaic Mood Suite

The papers are lush - on one side the patterns are textured/embossed  not sure if this photograph picks it up well.

For my page I set about fussy cutting the textured pink roses from one of the papers then arranged them in the top two corners of my Very Vanilla  card stock base.

I then chose one of the Mosaic Column papers and laid that across the bottom of the page.. but something wasn't quite right I then took a little off two adjacent sides of the Very Vanilla card stock  and mounted this onto an Early Espresso 12x12  base and it worked.    To finish this off I then added another fussy cut rose over the bottom corner of my photo and the Mosaic Mood DSP

Can you spy one of the new incolours?  - It's called Terracotta Tile and is in the 3rd row up of the DSP.

Knowing that her favourite colour is purple I used Fresh Fig as my main colour. Along with Garden Green and Mango Melody.

For the insert I borrowed one of the sentiments from the Wonderful Moments stamp set.

Kre8tors Blog Hop - Spring Colour Challenge

Welcome to the April's Kre8tors Blog Hop.  I know that you're going to find some great inspiration from the wonderfully creative Stampin' Up! demonstrators as you follow along with us.

You may have just visited Xime's  blog or perhaps you are starting your journey here with me. I hope you like our creations and that they give you inspiration.

This month we have be challenged to use the Spring Colours that can be found in this photograph

Looking at the photograph I immediately knew that I wanted to create a floral card using the colours set in this months challenge.

Firstly I embossed the Whisper White layer using one of the embossing folders form the Petal Pair Textured set. I then set about stamping and die cutting flowers from the Beautiful Bouquet stamp set and coordinating framelits Bouquet Bunch.

Then I set about arranging the flower heads and leaves in a bouquet arrangement.... boy did this take some time I kept fluffing around with but in the end I just went for it. on some of the flower heads I added Stampin' Dimensionals to give the bouquet some depth.

I hope you like the card, I made for this months theme - supplies used to create them can be ordered via my Online store here

Colour Combo Blog Hop - April

Welcome to April's Colour Combo Blog Hop

You may have just visited Tanja's blog or perhaps you are starting your journey here with me. I hope you like our creations and that they give you inspiration with this months colours.

For this month's hop I decide that I wanted to use one of my stamps that hasn't been off my shelf in a little while - I think we all are guilty of that. So I inked up my Painted Harvest stamp set.

Firstly I stamped the sunflower in Blushing Bride on Whisper White card stock, stamping of on one of the layers, before adding the centers and leaves.

When I placed this onto the base of Blushing Bride with a piece of Pear Pizzazz it looked too plain and needed something to lift it - using one of the sunflowers I stamped off randomly and created a background.

I then fussy cut another sunflower and added some punched leaves before adding the sentiment from Daisy Delight in Early Espresso.

I hope you like the card that I have shared with you using this month's colours  - supplies used to create them can be ordered via my Online store here.

Baby Shower

As many of you know Amy was over very briefly from Beijing last week -  the last time she's allowed to fly before the baby's due in June.........exciting times with Lucy due in May we're going to have our hands full!!

Whilst Amy was over we held a baby shower for her so she could catch up with everyone together and not have too much running around to do.

Here are the gifts that I made for the attendees.

Amy also asked me to make her some thank you cards - ahead of time for the event.

I think you can tell from the colours I've used what she is expecting.... along with Lucy.....that will then make 3 boys!!

Well I must dash as I need to get my swaps finished for this week, looking forward to catching up with friends at #Onstagelocal in Telford this weekend and getting sneak peaks of all the new goodies coming out in June.
