Scrapbookin' On Sunday

Here's another layout that I did the other weekend,

It uses a variety of items such as a length of bandage, doilies, a bright pink fuchsia fabric flower (can you see it?), stencils etc to give the page texture and depth.

This is one of my favorite photographs of me and the girls when we went to Blizzard Beach in Florida many moons ago.

I'm treating myself to a day of crafting tomorrow, I want to play with my new goodies which will be available to purchase on the 1st of September.

I cant believe that I haven't got round to playing with my pre order items yet.

Have fun what ever your up to tomorrow!!

Hugs

Masculine Monday's

A little later than usual posting today, but as the saying goes better late than never!!

For today's Masculine Monday's post I'd like to share with you a card that I "Cased" form a recent swap I saw, it uses the Boy's will be Boys stamp set.

I think its such a fun stamp set to have, it brings back childhood memories of spending hours with my younger brothers and sisters playing with our lego.

Scrapbookin' On Sunday

Last weekend whilst I was away I got to play with textured paste again.....so I decided that I would incorporate it in this months class, I chose the Pretty Petals Designer Paper Stack this use in this month kit.

To give the layout some depth I used a variety of embossing folders and stamp sets with both tone on tone or versa mark ink.

I loved getting messy, so can see more layouts  using a variety of techniques coming soon.

Next month we are using the English Garden DSP so if you'd like a kit then please do get in touch.

Masculine Monday's

As the saying goes better late than never.....

Here's a quick card I made the other evening whilst I was playing with the No Bones About It stamp set.

I quickly gave it to my uncle and ran.......

The Alphabet Rotary Stamp is fab a you get that type written effect and I've used it on a few scrapbooks recently and wondered what it would be like on a card and I love it.

Masculine Monday's

As promised last week I'm back to show you a card that I made with No Bones About It stamp set. This is a fabulous really easy two step stampin' set to line up.

I firstly stamped the stegosaurus in pool party and then his bones in cucumber crush.

I had great fun playing with this set, so can see a few more cards being planned at my all day "One for the Men" workshop in September.

The cost for the class is £30.00 booking is limited so contact me as soon a possible to book your space.

Next week I'll be back with another creation, until then

Inspire, Create and Share

For July's hosted swap I set the theme as Wedding/Anniversary as I had to make a wedding card for Becky and Aaron (who's invitations I made at the beginning of the year) and wanted to use their wedding theme.

I just love the way that we all come up with different ideas, especially when a couple of us even chose the same stamp set with out even knowing.

I can't wait to see what they create for August's theme which was "Watercolour"

I know what I'm doing.......I made a sample the other week for my friends birthday but until after the swap has been posted out I can't share it with you.

I hope you pop back later in the week to have a look at what else I've been up to!!

Festive Friday's

139 days until Christmas, it will be here sooner than we think!! I know I tend to leave somethings till the last minute but this year I'm trying to ahead especially with my Christmas Cards.

Today I'm going to share with you a card that I made using a non Christmas stamp set - Summer Silhouettes

I think it was the colours that give this set the Christmas feel  when I first played around with the New Incolors - Tip Top Taupe and Mint Macaroon, the third colour I used was Rose Red.

As you can see from the photograph I've got my first batch of cards completed just a few more to go..........

Masculine Monday's

This weeks Masculine Monday is aimed at the younger men in our lives.......but I suspect a few of the older ones will admit they still like to play with this!!!

This is a quick card I made up the other evening for a colleague at work, who asked me to make a "lego" card for her son who's birthday was in 2 days time - evidently it was met with squeals off delight.

Next week I'll be sharing some cards I've made using the new dinosaur stamp set "No Bones About it"

until then, Happy Stampin'

Scrapbookin' On Sunday

For July's Scrapbook Club we used the Bohemian Designer Series Papers, along with the co ordintating products - Washi Tape, Embossing Folder and Stamp Set  Bohemian Borders.

This first layout also uses the Tree Punch, when I asked my ladies to bring their tree punch they were  a little perplexed as to how I was going to incorporate it but where very pleased with the result.

I've set my self a little challenge and that's to ensure that to put a photograph on every layout I complete........ this photo was taken the other week when Frank and I had the day off together, we went down to a little place near Yalding in Kent named "Teapot Island" and had a lovely picnic and walk along the river Medway and its locks.

I'm off to start preparing layouts for this months club where we will be using the Pretty Petals Designer Series Paper Stack.

Until next week,
