Scrapbookin' On Sunday
Here is one of the layouts that I taught my ladies at scrapbook club this month.
I've used one of the sheets from the Something Borrowed Designer Series Papers for the base and used the stencil from the Artisan Embellishment Kit and created my own dsp along using Sahara Sand ink and cardstock.
Not wanting to be wasteful I adhered the stencil to the left hand side of the photograph, just under the butterfly. To finish the page of I used a length of the ribbon lace ..... its so lush!!!
Can you guess how old I am here??
Until next Sunday

Sisterly love...........
This Saturday I'm going to share with you an extra scrapbook layout that I have been working on. I've teamed up with a group of demonstrators and we take it in turn to set a sketch and see what we all come up with this week it was my turn.
For my layout I have used items from the Sweet Dreams collection - Designer Series Paper, Washi Tape and Buttons, which can be found on page 39 of the Spring/Summer Catalogue. I've also used some of the Hello Honey Thick Bakers Twine which can be earn't free with purchases over £45 through out Sale a Bration.
All that's needed is for me to complete the journaling..
This is the sketch that I set as the challenge, be sure to pop on over to Michelle's, Irene's and Linden's Blogs to see what they've come up with.
Remember Sale a Braition ends on the 31st of March so order soon before you miss out!!

What's on your Workdesk Wednesday?? 303
Firstly I'd like to share with you the finished card that I was working on last week....
It's a fun card known as a yo-yo, if you pull the button the down the little piggies head spins around........I showed it to my friends little girls and they were in hysterics !!
Well now to my desk, its a mess as usual I've pushed and piled everything up at the left hand back as I needed to make some cards for an order... that's why my basket of envelopes are stuck in the middle then to the right you'll see my mother's day bits from the girls. I've been really good and not opened my gifted wrapped Turkish Delight that's real constraint on my behalf as its my favourite.
After I've finished these cards I'm nipping out to the shops and then going to get cracking on a bit of scrappin'.... well I need to as I set the challenge this week!!
If you want to know what WOYWW is all about then pop on over to Julia's blog and find out all the info. When I manage to get 5 minutes with a coffee I know what I'll be doing and that is nosing around a few desks, so be sure to leave me a comment to let me know you passed by

For this weeks post I'm going to share with you a page that I created using up bits left over from my Septembers Club Kit.
I was also playing along with a group of Stampin' Up! demonstrators known as the Butterfly Belles - Michelle, Linden and Irene. They set themselves weekly challenges and this is my interpretation of this sketch they set themselves.

Why not for a bit of fun don't you play along and email me your layouts on the above sketch too..... for those who partake I'll pop a little something in the post for you!
Another one of their other sketches that I have completed, I won't be able to share with you until late May as its one I'm using in my class....yes for a change I'm actually ahead in which my layouts.
Next week I'll be back to share with a layout from this months club kit.

But I've had to find time this week so I got up at 4.30am with hubby (he works early shifts) as I need to create my swaps for a swap that I host over on ILWS for fellow demonstrators - this months theme is " Young/Young at Heart" so I thought I would use the "from the herd" stamp set.
I'll be able to reveal my finished card after the 20th so be sure to pop along next week and have another nose around my desk.
If you want to know what WOYWW is all about then pop on over to Julia's blog and find out all the info. When I manage to get 5 minutes with a coffee I know what I'll be doing and that is nosing around a few desks, so be sure to leave me a comment to let me know you passed by.

Masculine Monday's
Well, I had a fab day yesterday being spoilt hubby cooked dinner and crafting, I even managed to create a card using this weeks sketch that can be found over at Paper Craft Crew. PCCC#135

Once I stamped my images in stazon, I grabbed my Aqua Painters and inks to colour in the boat and atlas. I had forgotten how therapeutic colouring in could be, it was very relaxing.
I'm having great fun playing along with these sketches, can't wait till the next one which is Wednesday, meanwhile I think I'll try and make another card using this sketch.
I hope you have a great day what ever you plan to do, me I'm off out for a coffee with my hubby as it's his day off.

Sale a Bration Saturday
This week I've been playing with the Newly released Sale a Bration products (which can be found in the side bar).
I really enjoyed playing with the Vellum Paper stack and created these two cards using different techniques.
With the Butterfly Vellum I decided that I would dig out my pergamano tools and do some parchment craft. I'm really pleased with the result as its a while since I've done any parchment craft...4 years to be exact...
Don't forget for every £45 you spend with Stampin' Up! up until the 31st March, you get to choose a FREE sale a bration item........

Masculine Monday's and Creative Blog Hop
This week I have been nominated by my crafty friend Charlie to take part in The Creative Blog Hop.
For this weeks Masculine Monday's post I decided that I would share with you a masculine thinking of you card as I seem to make them on the feminine side.
I've used a mixture of both sponges and daubers, when you look closer at the card it gives an appearance of different textures, for the sand and the sea (not sure if it shows up here on the photograph).
So here goes the creative blog hop questions
• What are you working on now?
I am working on samples for my upcoming all day classes one of which will be aimed at cards for "men", along with samples for a big craft show in April too. So I'm mega busy at the moment luckily my scrapbook classes are planned
• How does your work differ from others in your genre?
Not sure that I am different from others.....lol I can get bored very easily, so I like trying new techniques or just trying our new ways of using the things I already have.
• Why do you create what you do?
I create and share with others because it fills my soul, I love to show new people how to stamp or create scrapbook layouts and love when both old and new customers alike get that ah-ha moment and you hear a squeal of joy when they see what they have created. Then the joy that we all get when we send or receive a handmade card.
I create in different ways sometimes when I get a new stamp set or papers, I will pull out ink and card stock and accessories and "play" away and make a real mess the more inky the better for me!! Other times I'll surf the net via Pinterest, Blogs or Splitcoast stampers looking for inspiration. Most recently I have taken to do some sketch challenges which is fun, this week I used the card sketch for a scrapbook layout.
I hope you have enjoyed this little insight into my world, I'm would like to nominating Pam over in the states to continue this hop.
Be sure to pop back throughout the week to see other creations I've made using items from both the Annual and the Spring/Summer catalogues.

Scrapbookin' On Sunday
Well who would have thought it?? I enjoyed playing again with this weeks sketch from over at Paper Craft Crew (PCCCS#134) so much that when I started designing my scrapbook layouts for next months class kit I found myself using their sketch for one of the layout's.
I really enjoyed playing with these papers!!! But I did have to sit and stroke them a few times before cutting in to them........that's why I love that we get to of each design in each pack..LOL
So why not come along and join us on 22nd April and make at least three pages for your Scrapbook Album using the Painted Blooms DSP.
Each kit contains enough materials to make at least 4 pages.
This class is suitable for beginners as well as more experienced Scrapbookers.
Please email frankiesuestampin@gmail.com for more details or you can opt to have the kit sent out by mail.

Sale a Bration Saturday
Today's sale a bration post incorporates a sketch challenge that I started playing along with last week over with the Paper Craft Crew
Here is this weeks sketch PCCCS#134
When I saw the sketch I said to myself that I should really use a stamp set that I hadn't inked up for a while and this is the card that I came up with, using Zoo Babies and the Best Year Ever Sale a Bration DSP.
I'm looking forward to playing along with next weeks challenge. I'm going to see if I can create another card using this sketch later, but first I'm going to play with paper and create some scrapbook layouts.
Have a good day whatever you get up too!!

Bokeh Technique
I'm just loving this technique that I had heard about from Michelle when I went to Leadership, having watched a couple of you tube video's I thought I would give the "dry" version a try.... I was really pleased with the results. I demonstrated this at my Spring Craft Day last week and the ladies loved it.
When I caught up with Michelle last week she still had got around to trying out the technique so I gave her a quick demo ......at the same time we happened to be Skyping with Pam in the States...... who also decided play along as well.
It was great fun, haven't skype crafted before but it was great fun!! must do it some more.
Right must dash as I need to pack my bags for tonight's card class.

Oppsy did any one spot last weeks bloomer?? Hopefully my new filing system works...LOL

I found it very relaxing to spend the afternoon colouring in the images using my blendabilities, a trip down memory lane.
Right I must dash now as I'm in the middle of making a Wedding Post Box and wedding card for an order.
Hope you have a good day......catch you later
