Scrapbookin' On Sunday

The ladies at my scrapbook class asked if I could design some layouts using the Merry Moments DSP for December's kit.

Here is one of the layout's using one of my favorite photo's from my weekend away with my girlfriend and fellow demonstrator Michelle.  Its her grandson with all the our Christmas Elves - Mistletoe, Rascal and Eggnog.

Be sure to pop  back next week and I'll share with you the little mini album and another layout I designed with the rest of these papers

I hope you have all had a lovely Christmas and wish you all a  Happy New Year.

Scrapbookin' On Sunday

Today's layout uses the Farmers Market Designer series papers from Stampin' Up! along with some Tim Holtz framelits and dies.

This layout was based on another layout that I did with Carole but I decided that i would change the papers around. My title is going to be " A Right Pair" as I know exactly which photograph is going on it but just haven't had time to print it out.

If you would like to attended my Scrapbook classes or have a kit to go just drop me an email.

Present time....

Today I'm going to share with you the gifts that I made for my travelling companions - Michelle, Linden and Irene and my roomie Angie

Here I covered some  special tins with papers from the neutrals paper stack and as Michelle, Linden and Irene are known as the "Butterfly Belles" I thought it was only apt decorate them with butterflies.

The sentiment is from the Garden in Bloom stamp set one that as yet I haven't really had time to play with.

Tomorrow I'll be back with a Festive Friday post and share with you another batch of swaps that I made.

1 more sleep!!!

I'm getting really excited about this years trip to Brussels for Stampin' Up!s first ever  "On Stage" event.

Unlike previous years, where  each continent held their own event from now on ALL events are open to  demonstrators from where ever they are in the world, so there are demonstrators coming from America, Australia, Canada and maybe Japan as well as those from the local European countries - Holland, Ireland, Germany, France and Austria.

here's a sneak peak of one of my swaps that I'm taking with me...........using the summer silhouettes stamp set and this years incolours.

be sure to pop back tomorrow and see another set of swaps that I've been working on along with the help of Frank.

Its a shame that Frank won't be with me this year.....

Scrapbookin' On Sunday

Here's another layout that I did the other weekend,

It uses a variety of items such as a length of bandage, doilies, a bright pink fuchsia fabric flower (can you see it?), stencils etc to give the page texture and depth.

This is one of my favorite photographs of me and the girls when we went to Blizzard Beach in Florida many moons ago.

I'm treating myself to a day of crafting tomorrow, I want to play with my new goodies which will be available to purchase on the 1st of September.

I cant believe that I haven't got round to playing with my pre order items yet.

Have fun what ever your up to tomorrow!!

For today's Masculine Monday's post I'd like to share with you a card that I "Cased" form a recent swap I saw, it uses the Boy's will be Boys stamp set.

Scrapbookin' On Sunday

Last weekend whilst I was away I got to play with textured paste I decided that I would incorporate it in this months class, I chose the Pretty Petals Designer Paper Stack this use in this month kit.

To give the layout some depth I used a variety of embossing folders and stamp sets with both tone on tone or versa mark ink.

I loved getting messy, so can see more layouts  using a variety of techniques coming soon.

Next month we are using the English Garden DSP so if you'd like a kit then please do get in touch.

Masculine Monday's

As the saying goes better late than never.....

Here's a quick card I made the other evening whilst I was playing with the No Bones About It stamp set.

I quickly gave it to my uncle and ran.......

The Alphabet Rotary Stamp is fab a you get that type written effect and I've used it on a few scrapbooks recently and wondered what it would be like on a card and I love it.

Inspire, Create and Share

For July's hosted swap I set the theme as Wedding/Anniversary as I had to make a wedding card for Becky and Aaron (who's invitations I made at the beginning of the year) and wanted to use their wedding theme.

I just love the way that we all come up with different ideas, especially when a couple of us even chose the same stamp set with out even knowing.

I can't wait to see what they create for August's theme which was "Watercolour"

I know what I'm doing.......I made a sample the other week for my friends birthday but until after the swap has been posted out I can't share it with you.

I hope you pop back later in the week to have a look at what else I've been up to!!

Festive Friday's

139 days until Christmas, it will be here sooner than we think!! I know I tend to leave somethings till the last minute but this year I'm trying to ahead especially with my Christmas Cards.

Today I'm going to share with you a card that I made using a non Christmas stamp set - Summer Silhouettes

I think it was the colours that give this set the Christmas feel  when I first played around with the New Incolors - Tip Top Taupe and Mint Macaroon, the third colour I used was Rose Red.

As you can see from the photograph I've got my first batch of cards completed just a few more to go..........

Masculine Monday's

This weeks Masculine Monday is aimed at the younger men in our lives.......but I suspect a few of the older ones will admit they still like to play with this!!!

This is a quick card I made up the other evening for a colleague at work, who asked me to make a "lego" card for her son who's birthday was in 2 days time - evidently it was met with squeals off delight.

Next week I'll be sharing some cards I've made using the new dinosaur stamp set "No Bones About it"

until then, Happy Stampin'

Scrapbookin' On Sunday

For July's Scrapbook Club we used the Bohemian Designer Series Papers, along with the co ordintating products - Washi Tape, Embossing Folder and Stamp Set  Bohemian Borders.

This first layout also uses the Tree Punch, when I asked my ladies to bring their tree punch they were  a little perplexed as to how I was going to incorporate it but where very pleased with the result.

I've set my self a little challenge and that's to ensure that to put a photograph on every layout I complete........ this photo was taken the other week when Frank and I had the day off together, we went down to a little place near Yalding in Kent named "Teapot Island" and had a lovely picnic and walk along the river Medway and its locks.

I'm off to start preparing layouts for this months club where we will be using the Pretty Petals Designer Series Paper Stack.

Until next week,

Fun evening...

Last week at class I introduced  some of my ladies to "Punch Art"  and they had great fun creating a "Minion" card.

I borrowed this idea fellow demonstrator Michelle as she made one for a party her grandson was attending.

It features the Owl Builder Punch, 1 1/4" circle punch and the Sassy Salutation stamp set.

I know now the name of the 3 main Minion's - Kevin, Stuart and Bob.... a program and film that I know nothing about as I don't have or work with wee ones any more.

These have been very popular as I have taken a few orders for them from work colleagues and friends.

Right I need to get my skates on as I've got loads to do before catching up with my god daughter Erin, who's over from Gallway.

Masculine Monday's

Last Sunday I had a phone call from my uncle asking me if I could make a card for his grandson who is cricket and golf mad and he needed it like yesterday.

So I grabbed some punches and my new favorite InColour Cucumber Crush card stock and the Cherry On Top designer series Paper stack and created this card.

The sentiment is stamped in Watermelon Wonder, these two colours really complement each other.

My ladies kept teasing my in class this week saying the golf ball won't go down the hole!!

Thanks for stopping by

Masculine Monday's

For this weeks Masculine Monday post I would like to share with you a card that I made when I attended a class run my Michelle and Irene (2 fellow Stampin' Up! Demonstrators). It was really funny as the same week at my class I used the same colour combination  for my man's card.

This card uses the Four Feathers stamp set and matching framelits, the sentiment is the Perfect Pennants set inked using Stampin' Write Markers.

Stampin' Write Markers are brillant for getting different colours onto one stamp, hopefully it's reminded me to use them a bit more in my classes.

Well I'm really excited for tomorrow as it's the release of this years annual catalogue............think I may be up at midnight blogging link for my readers.
