Masculine Monday

Masculine Monday has been missing the past few weeks as lots of different things have been happening here but I'm hoping things are calming down and I can get back to my normal postings......

Today's card is a technique that I shared with my ladies at class showing them that you can use embossing folders for printing with and not just embossing through a big shot or similar machine.

Here I inked up one side of the embossing folder with ink before pressing down on to a piece of card stock to print the image.....its really simple and great fun - well I love messy me!!

I also need a man's thank you card too, so just swapped the sentiment.

Catch you later in the week

Scrapbookin' On Sunday

A quick post today sharing another layout using the Flashback DSP.

When I saw this layout* I knew exactly which photographs I wanted use. They are of Heidi taken back in 2009 when we visited the Beatles museum in Liverpool. Unfortunately I was really ill so we had to cut short our break and are hoping to return in the not to distant future.

Next week I'll share with you another layout using the Flashback DSP

*This was a layout that was designed by another demonstrator and offered as a class at the retreat that I went to back in the summer.

Festive Friday

As I promised last week I'd be back this week with another Festive Friday post this week using another stamp set from the Autumn/Winter Catalogue called Endless Wishes.

This stamp set was released a few years ago in the USA and retired, but through popular demand it has made a return this year and as the catalogues are now on a par we are lucky to get it this time too!!

Here I have teamed it up with the Merry Christmas sentiment from Sassy Salutations and used Chocolate Chip ink and card stock. The ribbon is the Gold double satin from the annual catalogue, I'm not a gold girl but this is really lush.

The Curvy Keepsake box has been embossed in gold........

Next week I'll be back to share with you another card made with ???? you'll have to pop back and see what I've been playing with.

Meanwhile

Scrapbookin' On Sunday

Last week I showed you a couple of sneak peaks from this months club kit using the Flashback DSP - well here is the  layout in full of one of them (pop back next week for the other one)

One of my customers showed me this layout on the net and I just had to scraplift it...although all the punching and inking took time I'm really pleased with the way it turned out and will do it again with other papers.

But I do advise you that you use a wet glue if you're going to  scrap lift it as it will give you movability with the punched shapes.

Have a great Sunday whatever you're up to, me I'm chilling with my hubby.

Today's post is another card using my favourite little man from the Get Your Santa On stamp set.

Here I've cut the little man out along with the stars and put them on to give a 3D effect with some bakers twine and Stampin Dimensionals .

Did you spy the new embossing folder - Lucky Stars another one of my purchases from the Autumn/Winter Seasonal Catalogue.

Next week I'll be back with another Festive Friday card this time using the Endless Wishes stamp set.

Scrapbookin' On Sunday

This week I'm going to share with you another 2 layout's............that we completed using the Flower Pot DSP.

My ladies took the mickey out of me as I seem to be using lots of Cirlcles on  my layouts just recently......well I was gettin bored of banners all the time..LOL

Here I've used an idea from another demonstrator of using our much loved packaging for some flowers using the Scallop Circle Punch.

Hope you all have a good Sunday, and I'll be back next week with a sneak peak of some layouts using next months kit - Flashback

Masculine Monday

Today I'm going to share with you a card that I made for a swap over on ILWS (In Love With Stampin) where lots of demonstrators hang out and also share ideas  and tips with each other. This month the theme was "one for the men/boys"

I chose to use the new Traveler stamp set and came up with this creation.

The background is made using the Dictionary stamp and I have aged it not only by inking the edges but by removing some of the ink on the text... not sure whether this is shows in the photo very well.

Next week I'll share with you a couple of the swaps that I received in return so be sure to pop back.
