Scrapbookin' On Sunday

Last Sunday I shared with you a picture off all the papers and card stock spread out on the floor for my class last week. The kit was made up with 1/2 a pack of Patio Party DSP, co-ordinating card stock and embellishments.

Today I am going to share two of the layouts that the ladies could either make with their monthly kit or if they wished could change to their own designs.

The main focus that I was trying to share with them is how they could make the most out of of one of the double sided papers (in the picture above its the third and fourth designs on the left hand side- lots of strips and pink diagonals). We not only made this one on the Midnight Muse back ground but another double page layout too.

I also chose these papers as I will need something for Heidi's photo's to go on when they come back from the developers. Hence why there are white pieces of paper where the photo's should be.

For this layout we have used to of the Big shot dies - Tasteful Trims, Perfect Pennants.  I don't have it but the new Pinwheel die would be the perfect finish to this page......its on my wish list.

Well must go as I am starting to plan next months class/kit (Wednesday 20th March),were we will be using the Divided Page Protectors and the Sycamore Street DSP from Sale a Bration.

If you would like a kit to play with at home then please do get in touch they will cost £15.00 plus P&P or free if collected, booking needs to be made by the 6th March.

Vintage Verses all smooched up

Today I'm sharing with your the boxed set of cards that I made for my hostess last night. It uses three of the items available during Sale a Bration - Vintage Verses, Madison Avenue  stamp sets and the Sycamore Street DSP as well as other Stampin' Up! items.

As you can see from the photograph to give it the little something extra I have spritzed it with the Vanilla Shimmer Smooch Spritz, which can be found on page 158 of the 2012/2013 Annual Catalogue.

The hostess of the party was very pleased with her gift and on achieving sales that earn't her a Free pack of Glimmer Paper and a  Hostess Spend of £30.00, all on top of receiving the Sale a Bration item that she earn't for her own personal spend.

I do have some dates free in my diary so why not host a  Stampin' Up! party of your own, where you get to have fun with your friends, crafting and shopping at the same time. What could be better.

Don't worry if your friends are new to stamping I will introduce them to the basic and share to hints and tips to others in the group. Then we will all make a card together.

To book your party email sue@frankiesuestampin.com  or give me a call on 07914 360625.

Perfectly Penned meets

White Embossing powder, after my mishap of spilling nearly half a tub of this when preparing for the class on Saturday, there was more than enough left to do a couple of extra cards for my stash, I always run out of the ones I'm looking for.

Both of these cards use the International Bazaar  Designer Series Paper,  Perfectly Penned stamp set, 1/4 " Stitched Ribbon, Scallop Edge Border Punch,  Silver Glimmer Paper and the new Butterfly punch.

I'm not sure if you can see in the picture but the Thank You card is mounted on Natural White Card stock which is slightly heavy than Whisper White making it an ideal card base for  cards with extra weight on them.

The Silver Glimmer gives this card that something extra.......and don't forgot that if you host a party and sales reach over £150 then you'll receive a pack Free.

If you would like more information about hosting a party and what it entails then please click here  or give me a call on 07914 360625.

Well I must get my skates on as I need to make my hostess a gift for this evening.... be sure to pop back to morrow and see what I created.

Happy Valentines Day!!

Today I am going to share with you the card that I made for Frank for today........ using the new That's the Ticket  and Hearts a Flutter stamp sets with their matching Framelits and punches - Heart and Ticket Duo.

.
The Picture doesn't pick it up very well but there isn't a White Heart stuck onto the card, it is showing through from where I have used the large heart punch on the grey card.  I then arranged the  other 2 hearts on to the card one is from the Hearts a Flutter set cut out using the matching framelits and the other is punch out with the small heart from the Red Glimmer Paper . Then  I stamped the sentiment from That's the Ticket in versa mark and then embossed it with white embossing powder.

Well I must dash.......as  I have got to run to work

Hope you all have a lovely valentines day and are spoilt rotten by your loved ones.

Sweet Threads

Today's post is showcasing one of the two cards that can be made using the Sweet Threads Simply Sent Kit that can be found on page 22 of the Spring/Summer Catalogue.

This kit includes 8 printed cards (4 of 2 colours), 8 white envelopes, 8 die cut patterned pieces (needle holes prepiereced, embroidery floss, needles and some Stampin Dimensionals.

For this card I used a sentiment from the Teeny Tiny Sentiment set but if you don't have any small sentiments this does come with a complimentary stamp set called Essentials as a bundle which has a 15% discount taken off the items if purchased individually.  Making it a great gift for those who love to cross stitch.

Scrapbookin' On Sunday

Scrapbookin' On Sunday is having to  take a break this week as I'm playing catch up with myself..........

This is due to the fact that I planned to spend Saturday afternoon Scrappin' but found myself having to tidy up  the front room after the man from Virgin had been  to look at the little black box ........and guess what No fault could be found so we're still trying to work out whats going on with our TV!!

But I can share some pictures that were taken Friday Evening when we went out to celebrate Heidi's birthday.......

"Yes now I can drink legally"

 "Uncle Banana Head" and Frank

Here Heidi is laughing as she only just realised after 3 attempts that the candles Amy and Lucy had put in the cake were the ones that re-ignite........

One thing that I have learn't through scrappin' and taking photos is to take 2 pictures one landscape position and one portrait,  that way you can use which one suits your layout best.

Well must dash loads still to do especially as I have a job for the time being so early to bed for me tonight got to get back into commuting by train now.

Patterned Occasions Card

After having a rather busy day at work yesterday, being moaned at by Frank for leaving the table messy I then quickly tided it up before rushing out to my card class. I managed to create a quick card to share with you  using one of the Sale a Bration stamp sets. I can't show you any of the cards we made as I have another class next week and I don't want to spoil their surprise.

I used the same colours that I did last time I used this image, as my uncle is recovering from an operation and all the cards that I have made up for these occasions are all for ladies....... The image from the Patterned Occasions has been stamped in three shades of blue - Bashful Blue, Marina Mist and  Not Quite Navy. I have used some Natural Trim Ribbon from the new Spring/Summer just to finish it off.

If you wish to purchase any items used to complete this card or any other current Stampin' Up! products then please email sue@frankiesuestampin.com remember for every £45 spent you can earn 1 Sale a Bration product.

Delightful Dozen Collection

Today I am sharing with you the cards that we made at my last Saturday special class using the Delightful Dozen Stamp and Natural Composition DSP

As the Natural Composition  has a variety of different   embossed patterns, we used different techniques to colour them with inks.

For this card we used sponges and blended the colours together.

Here we applied colours using blender pens to the flowers and for the brown on the fleur-de -lis we used sponges for this mother's card.

For this Valentine card we used daubers and made a mask for the hearts (I'll have to make another one for Frank as he saw me making it)

And for this the last card we used a brayer to achieve a more intense, deeper colour.

There are still spaces available for my next event " Frankiesue's Craft Day", details can be found here. Hurry as booking closes tomorrow evening, it would be great to see you there.
