Sneak Peak.......

Here's a little treat for all those that follow my blog and that's a card that I made today for this weeks Sketch Saturday Challenge which can be found here.

I have used one of the new stamp sets that can be found in the New Autumn/Winter Catalogue (which is available to order from on the 1st of September) called Googly Ghouls.

This set can be purchased on its own or as a "bundle with" googly eyes, tags and gift bags which I will be able to share with you in September.

The Googly Ghoul stamp set comprises of this witch, spider, bat, Boooo sentiment as well as  Frankenstein and a mummy. I'm having great fun playing with this set at the moment and the googly eyes are self adhesive making them a dream to work with.

The designer paper is from the new Howlstooth and Scaringbone collection, the ribbon can also be found in the Autumn/Winter catalogue and is lush, the glitter brads can be found in the main idea book and cataloue.

If you don't have a copy of the new Autumn/Winter catalogue and would like a paper copy please e-mail me your  mailing address along with your name to sue@frankiesuestampin.com

well I'm off to play with "Frank" now

Bordering on Romance birthday's

Today I can safely post pictures of two cards that I made using the Bordering On Romance stampset and the matching  Adoring Accents framelits and embossing folders as the birthday girls have both received them now. Hope you both had great birthdays.

The only difference apart from the colour is the sentiment one is from Sincere Salutations and the other from Petite Pairs stamp set.

The Bordering on Romance stamp set and matching Adoring Accent framelits and Embossing folders can be found in the Summer Mini catalogue which ends on the 31st of August.

To ensure that you don't miss ordering any items that you wish to purchase from this catalogue please email  sue@frankiesuestampin.com  by 2pm on 31st so I have time to process them for you.

Simply Scored Tool

The Simply Scored Tool from Stampin' Up! makes scoring card and patterned papers easy, fun and fast, whether it me just one project of making lots and lots just like I did yesterday.

These are the gift boxes I made for Vicky who is raising money for Macmillan Cancer support, Vicky makes various items of jewelry, soaps, bath bombs, lip balms and has some up coming events, one of which is a table top sale in West Kingsdown*, which I am helping to support her with especially as my dad has just been diagnosed with cancer again.

The design of the Simply Scored  Board £25.95  has been developed to give you score lines you want exactly where you want them. The base plate easily accommodates 12x12 card and paper, you can score every 1/8 of an inch. The base also features non slip feet for secure scoring and a really useful storage compartment.
If you work in metric there is a Metric scoring plate which is available for £10.95 this sits securely on top giving you the choice. Additionally you can purchase the Diagonal Scoring plate (not shown in Mini £10.95) which gives you all the versatility that you need especially to make co ordinating envelopes for your cards.
The Simply Scored Tools will be an invaluable addition to your Crafting Toolbox and can be found on page 7 on the Summer Mini Catalogue.
I am repeating my offer from earlier this year in May and offering you the chance to purchase all 3 Simply Scored items - Simply Scored Scoring Tool, Simply Scored Metric Scoring Tool, Simply Scored Diagonal Plate and an extra pack of place markers  for just £45.00 including p&p that's a total saving of £10.00
orders must be placed with me by 2pm on the 31st August to ensure that I have time to process them.

Embossing in colour with a Reason To Smile

Today I am going to share with you some cards with you that I made on Friday when I was having a play day.............they use Stampin' Up!s Reason to Smile stamp set which can either be earn't FREE with a £60+ spend or purchased at a regular price (click here for further details)

I just love playing with my embossing powders but often don't find the time,on Friday I made time and came up with these creations using Stampin' Up!s coloured embossing powders - Tempting Turquoise and Melon Mambo. They look stunning on Basic Black card stock and  highly recommend that you use Stampin' Up!s Embossing Buddy. This handy little tool removes the static from the card and you don't get any residue embossing powder sticking to it, so you get a nice clear  image.

If you would like a demonstration on using embossing powders then why not book a party or come along to my next class, and let me show you how!  contact me at sue@frankiesuestampin.com for further information (parties are available throughout the day as well as evenings).

I have been really spoilt  over the past 3 days as it was my birthday, and I would like to say a BIG thank you for all my cards, presents and birthday wishes.

Today is no exception to being spoilt as I'm having another play day but this time with my pre order items from the New Autumn/Winter Catalogue which will be available on the 1st September. This is just one of the perks of being a demonstrator for more information pop on over here.  If you would like to receive a paper copy then please email with your address and I will pop one in the post for you.

I'm off to play now

Dusted off another stamp set....

Here is a card  and matching envelope that I made using an old Mojo Monday Sketch and some of Stampin' Up! s Everyday Enchantment dsp that I had left over, using the stamp set Perfect Punches (one I dusted off for my challenge).

As you can see  I have used the Happy Birthday sentiment from the Perfect Punches stamp set which co ordinates with the Extra Large Oval Punch. Also I have used the Scallop Edge, Boho Blossom and Owl Builder Punches.

The Simply Scored Tool and the added Diagonal Plate makes making co ordinating envelopes for cards really easy, as well as matching gift boxes. These two items along with the Metric Plate can be found in the Summer Mini Catalogue which is only available to  order from until the 31st August, so email sue@frankiesuestampin.com to place your order before its too late.

Baby Tees roller

Yesterday I mentioned that I had some stamp sets that I hadn't inked up for a while and challenged myself to use them well the same goes for my Stampin' Up! wheels.

So today I am going to share a card with you that I helped my friend Sharon make.  I used the Baby Tee wheel to make the background before adding some pink pirouette dsp and organza ribbon. I wheeled out some extra Baby Tee's which Sharon was able to layer up to give it some depth.

Sharon then added the names of the twin girls that one of her nurses daughter has just had with her trusted peel offs.

I love the fact that I share what I love to do with other people, and especially that I can help   Sharon through her time of illness makes it even more rewarding.

If you would like to know about becoming a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator and sharing what you love then why not give me a call on 07914 360625 for an informal chat or pop on over to here for some frequently asked questions.

Be sure to pop back and see some more of my old favourites dusted off

Flight of the Butterfly and the Funky Four

Here are two cards both using  the Flight of the Butterfly  and Funky Four stamp sets.

Both cards use the same supplies Whisper White, Pear Pizzazz and Tempting Turquoise card stock, Rich Razzleberry and Tempting Turquoise inks, some Tempting Turquoise ribbon and butterflies using the Beautiful Wings Embosslits Die.

The only difference is for the second card I used my Simply Scored Tool to help make it into a Z card fold.

I'm really bad at the moment as I don't seem to have used the Funky Four stamp set for some time, so over the next couple of weekends I have challenged myself to dust of some of my unused stamp sets, I bet I'm not the only one ladies I challenge you to do the same.

If you would like to purchase any of the items used to make these cards or any other current products from the Stampin' Up! catalogues  shown in the side bar then please email sue@frankiesuestampin.com  Remember that items in the Summer Mini are only available until the 31st of August.

Flight of the Butterfly......

This is one of the first sets I purchased after becoming a Demonstrator about 3 years ago.

Here I have used the Kissing Technique where you transfer the pattern from one stamp to another, for this card I used the solid butterfly and the floral stamp from set. The sentiment is also from the Flight of the Butterfly stamp set. I'm not whether or not you can see it from the photograph but I used the Simply Scored tool to place lines on the whisper white card stock before placing the Butterflies on the card in between these once I had punched them out using the co ordinating Butterfly punch.

Now you can choose your starter kit to suit your needs and the supplies you have already have if your interested in becoming a Demonstrator then I have complied a list of Frequently Asked Questions here.

If you have any more questions or would like to book a party and have this technique demonstrated to you and your guests then please email at  sue@frankiesuestampin.com

Reason to Smile - one sheet wonder

Today I'm going to share with some more of the cards that my ladies made at their class the other day using the stamp set Reason to Smile.

We used the one sheet wonder principle and stamped randomly over an A5 piece of Whisper white card stock with some of the flower stamps from the Reason to Smile set in Garden Green, Daffodil Delight and Tangerine Tango Inks. The smaller flower we used as a two step stamp with some ladies choosing to use the Stamp m Jig and others did it by eye.  Having the cut this to size we then matted and layered it on co- ordinating card stock and placed it on to the card bases.

The sentiments are from the Sincere Salutations, Petite Pairs and Just Believe stamp sets and punched using the word window, modern label and matching oval punches.

Don't forget this stamp set is only available in August -  you can either purchase it or earn it for free - check out this link for details.

Scrapbookin' On Sunday

Today's post is sharing with you one of the layouts that we completed in class last month, using the Attic Boutique DSP  which can be found in the Summer Mini Catalogue.

I carefully used a craft knife and cut around the flourishes and clock pieces of this sheet of DSP from the Attic Boutique collection, allowing me to slip my photograph inside. To the left I added stamped image of a clock (non SU) and to the right I added a rosette made using the Scoreboard Tool and some Very Vanilla card stock, which is finished of using one of the brads from the Antique Collection.

Remember that items from the Summer Mini Catalogue are only available until the of August, to place an order from there or the main Idea Book and Catalogue  contact sue@frankiesuestampin.com or call me on 07914 360625.

Don't forget that if your order comes to £60* or more then you qualify for the Reason to Smile stamp set FREE.

Hello Kitty

Last week I was asked to make a card for one Frank's friends daughter who would be turning 9 ....either along the lines of I love Carly or Hello Kitty.

Hello Kitty won in my mind straight away so I dived into my box of punches and here's what I created using with the Twitterpatted DSP

I used a total of 5 different punches to make the card - Owl builder punch, Ex Large Oval, Butterfly Punch, Oval punch and the retired 2 3/8 scallop circle punch but you can easily make the bottom half of the body with the Ex Large Oval punch, so Kitty would be wearing trousers instead of this pretty dress.

The balloon's  where stamped from the Party This Way stamp set in Versa mark and cut out by hand and I added some Bakers Twine for their strings.

I'll try and remember to pop up another picture of Kitty wearing trousers.
