Christmas in July Part 2

Today I am going to share with you another 2 cards that the ladies who attended my Christmas in July event made using Serene Snowflakes. The first one is the one that I showed you a teaser of the other day.

In addition to Serene Snowflakes and Enfrancis  stamps we used the spotted embossing folder with some Frosted White Shimmer paint. The card is emblished with some taffeta ribbon and one of the new mini brads.

For this card I used colours that can be found in both of the In Colour collections - Concord Crush, Wisteria Wonder and Pear Pizzazz. The sentiment is from Petite Pairs and is punched out in the co-ordinating Oval Punches.

Thanks for stopping by, be sure to leave a comment so I know you've passed by.

Christmas In July

Saturday saw the first of my Christmas card classes, with my Christmas in July event, lots of fun and laughter was shared throughout the day and for the first time ever I forgot to take pictures, so I can't share those with you.

But what I can share with you is the projects that we made throughout the day.

This card is made using the resist technique i.e stamping with versa mark and the braying with another colour (here I used Crumb Cake and Serene Snowflakes sorry the colours doesn't show to well in this photograph).

The lower section of card stock uses  Stampin' Up!s Brushed Gold card stock, I'm not a great lover of using anything "gold" on my projects  but I love the fact that this is not as shiny as other gold card stock on the market.  This has been punched with the Scallop Trim Border Punch. The sentiment is from the Season of Joy  stamp set. To finish the flowers punched from the 5 petal flower punch and embellished with some lovely sparkly bits.

My ladies love punch art so I couldn't resist and put one in the session. The background here again is stamped with Serene Snowflakes but this time with the Platinum Shimmer paint, to me a Christmas card is undressed without a bit of sparkle on them. The Snowman is made using a variety of  current Stampin' Up! punches, I wouldn't be without any of mine I just love seeing what I can create with them.

Well must dash its getting late and I need my bed.........be sure to pop back and see more throughout the week.

Serene Snowflakes teaser

At the moment I am busy preparing for my Christmas in July event....... I held one of these last year and it was very popular with my customers and many of the ladies who attended last year are looking forward to see what delights I have in store for them....so today I'm just going to tease them by showing a snipet of a card that they will be making on Saturday.

For this card they will be using their Serene Snowflake stampset which is included in the cost of the day, as well as Enfrancis. The colours don't show up very well in this picture but the colours used in this card are Whisper White, Pink Pirouette, Basic Gray, Basic Black.

Well thats enough teasing for today........be sure to pop back next week to see the full card meanwhile

Stained glass effect using Bordering On Romance

As a kid I was always fascinated at how they managed to get the colour into the class and make the lovely stained glass patterns etc............. well I decided that I would give it a go with one of my stamp sets and here is a card that I made using the Bordering On Romance  set.

To create the lead out line I stamped the image with Versamark and then heat embossed this very carefully on Stampin' Up!s Vellum paper with their Black embossing powder.

Then using the Stampin' Write Markers coloured the images from behind.  To emphasis the colours I then matted and layered this on a light cardstock before adhering them to the Basic Black Layer. I  then gently tore all three of these layers at the bottom before adding these to a layer of Pink Pirouette which I had run through the Big Shot with the Vintage Wallpaper Embossing Folder.

I had fun with this technique and will have to find some more time to play again using other sets.

Nursery Nest....meets the Grown Up's!

When I first told the ladies that attend my scrapbooking classes that we were going to use the Nursery Nest Designer Series Papers at our next class, they didn't seem to enthusiastic......I pointed out that I didn't have young children either and that it wouldn't be a problem to "Scrap" with them.
So let me share with you two of the layouts that  I showed them.

This first layout is of Heidi and her friend Joel on their last day of school last year (as you can tell by the graffti on their shirts). The flowers are from the Flower, daisies number 2 and is emblished with a button from Subtles Collection along with some White Bakers Twin.

This second layout is a bit more masculine as is a picture of my dad and my brother Nick, back last summer (not sure where it's gone to this year. Here I have used blocks of the  Nursery Nest Designer papers and framed the photograph using the Lace  Ribbon Border Punch.

One of my ladies left this layout until she had completed the others that I shared with them and completed it an another colour way and decorated it accordingly.

My next scrapbook class is on the 18th of  July in St Mary Cray or alternatively you can order a         "Class Kit" which includes everything to make at least 3 layouts for and photographic ideas and/or insturctions for just  £15 plus P & P then please email me at sue@frankiesuestampin.com  for further details.

Be sure to pop back next weekend to see the other  layouts.

Amour.......

When preparing my class for this week using the Artistic Etchings stamp set,  I decided that I would use this to make Frank's anniversary card and for the first time in 23years he actually forgot putting it down to his age!!!

I used the luscious Mocha Morning Speciality Designer Papers and added some Taffeta Ribbon to add a splash of  colour. The sentiment is punched out using a retired punch and I do miss this one.

Must dash....... Thanks for stopping by

Everyday Enchantment Card

One of the things I love about being a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator is that we have the ability to get our hands on some of the products before they are avaliable to our customers, which is really handy as I had wanted to play with the ribbons from the Enchantment Pack for some time now.

Despite have received these last week I wasn't able to play until today, my little creation here was made using the Sketch over a Mojo Monday MOJO248.

Having matted the Crumb Cake on to Early Esspresso base cardstock I then decorated it with the small flower stamp from the Baroque Motif Stamps set. Instead of their rectangular shape I used a nestabilites shape which matches the pattern in the Everday Enchantment Designer Series Paper.

The sentiment is from the Petite Pairs set, having ummed and rrrred over which of the lovely organdy coloured ribbons to use I settled for the Calyso Coral one as it matched one of the smaller flowers on the DSP. Using the Boho Blossom Punch to make the flowers I was spoilt for choice on which Brad to choose for the center.

To place your order for any of the Stampin' Up! products used on this card or for a friendly no obliagtion chat about becoming a demonstrator and the benefits you could get then email me at frankiesue@ntlworld.com or call me on 07914 360625
