WOYWW #191

Hi, and thanks for passing by to see whats on my workdesk this Wednesday.

My desk is a little tidier than  how I usually work due to the fact that  my hubby  is off work sick after his knee operation last week  and he moans that I'm to messy.

So I've been tiding up after each project rather than just leaving it to one side and only ending up with a 6" square to work in...........LOL

Well what is on my desk, I finally finished the cards of that you saw on their last week in their raw state (no it doesn't usually take me that long to make a card).

My beloved promarkers (nearly have them all just a few shades to get still) and some images that I'm working on for some commissioned cards.....oh and healthy snacks and not choccie biccies this week - hubby finished them off and  Stampin' up trimmer.

See you next week ladies and gents off to have a look at some other desks whilst having a coffee..........don't forget to leave me a comment so i know you've passed by

Madison Avenue

Quick post today as I'm running late and popping out to have lunch with Amy before she goes back to Portsmouth...........its been fun having her around the last couple of days.

This  card uses not only the Madison Avenue stamp set from Sale a Bration but one of the sentiments from the Bloomin' Marvelous stamp set, the Sycamore Street DSP and items from the Sycamore Ribbon & Buttons pack. As well as the Beautiful Wings  emboslit, Oval punch, and the Fancy Fan embossing folder (which doesn't show up well in the photo)

Pleasant Poppies meets Perfectly Penned

I was planning to play with my "Rubber" stamps yesterday but I didn't get round to it what with one thing and  another and then I had a  BIG surprise  when Amy walked through the door  and is staying for a couple of days.

So today I'm going to share with some cards that we made at class a couple of months ago, using the Pleasant Poppies and Perfectly Penned stamp sets which can be found in the Annual catalogue.

The picture doesn't show it very well but we stamped the image in Basic gray then punched out a circle then on a separate piece of card stock stamped just the flower heads and coloured them in using Blender pens before placing them back into the space either flat or raising them with  Stampin' dimensionals.

I just love the Finishing Touches Edgelits, that I have used here with the Primrose Petal Card stock.

If you want to place an order for any of the items used to complete these cards or any other current Stampin' Up! products email sue@frankiesuestampin.com  don't forget that for every £45 you spend you get to choose a Sale a Bration item for FREE

Scrapbookin' On Sunday

Some of you make have seen my post a couple of weeks on WOYWW as I was working on projects for my scrapbook club............well today I can share with you the pages that I made up with the kit I prepared for them using the Candlelight Christmas Specialty DSP.

In total I made up 5 pages........

On page one we also used the Brushed Gold card stock, Shimmer Paint, Apothecary Accents Framelits and Snow Flurry Die

On page two here we also used a stamp from the Mixed Medley stamp set and the 1 1/4" Scallop Circle Punch

Page 3 has to me my favourite layout I have the photo's in mind just haven't got round to printing them off yet - its Heidi dressed as Father Christmas......really funny. On this page we used the lovely Flock paper from the Candlelight Christmas Specialty DSP and yes I had to stroke it several times before I could cut into it.......... I used this with the Ornament Keepsakes stamp set and matching framelits.

On both pages 3 and 4 we used one of the new Bigz XL dies - Tasteful Trim......so quick and easy for borders think I will be using this a bit more in layouts.

And here is page 5 its made up of all scraps that we cut out the idea is to pop 3 photos on the brown section and then tie a nice bow around it......this way you can use to suit the layout of the photos either landscape or portrait.

Apart from the fifth page they got them all made up.........some had brought photographs and could pop them on then and there others choice to do that part along with journalling and titles at home.

Remember the Candlelight Christmas Specialty DSP and Snow Flurry Die are only available until the end of January so be sure to place an order before then so you don't miss out.

Bloomin' Marvelous Birthday Card

Today's cards that I am sharing with you are made with the Sale a Bration stamp set Bloomin' Marvelous and the Vine Embossing folder along with the  sentiment from the Petite Pairs stamp set.

The card is cased from one that I received in an inspiration swap between Stampin' Up demonstrators, I changed the sentiment as I needed a couple of quick birthday cards.  Thanks Charlie for a fab idea.

Just a quick.......

Post and reminder today as I have to go and pick Frank up from hospital as they kept him in last night.

Today's post is a picture of some gift card holders I made for a customer of mine who purchased "Frankiesue's Crafting" Vouchers for her friends for Christmas. I offer this service all year round so if your stuck with something to buy or if some one wants to know what you would like you can tell them (obviously the card holder is themed differently to the one shown here).

The reminder is that the items used here are al from the Autumn/Winter seasonal Catalogue - Scentsational stamp set, matching framelits, Merry Mini Punches and Snow Flurry die, which finishes at the end of the month.

So be sure to place your order soon so you don't miss out and don't forget that if your order is over £45 you'll be able to order a Sale a Bration item too.

Patterned Occasions ............

Here's a card that I made for a challenge over at 2Sisters blog, the theme this week is using the colours - brown, white and blue.

As Frank is having another operation today on his knee, I thought the colours would make a great get well card for him. I know that he doesn't go on my blog or use face book so I'm safe sharing it with you here before I give it to him later.

Here I have used the plaster stamp and words from the Patterned Occasions stamp set which is available throughout Sale a Bration with any purchase over £45.

I stamped the plasters and in Bashful Blue, Marina Mist and Not Quite Navy before cutting them out and across the torn paper raising them with Stampin' Dimensionals giving them the feel of real plasters......the brown I used is Chocolate Chip one I haven't played with recently.

Thanks for passing by to see my work

I'm just loving using Stampin' Up!s Natural Composition DSP with the resist technique is great for ladies that are hesitant to try heat embossing.

Also you can see another card using the Bootiful occasions stamp set and some of the Sycamore Street DSP from sale a braiton. Can you spy my nibbles a tin of choccie biccies and if you look really closely a packet of new diet cracker/crisps.........

Scrapbookin' On Sunday

I hope this Sunday finds you safe and warm, as the snow is falling here on the Kent/London border and is now settling.

Today's Scrapbookin' on Sunday that I am sharing with you is using some of my old stash that I have had hanging around here for ages, the only Stampin' Up! item used is the Very Vanilla satin ribbon which sadly is now retired.

I have 4 scrapbook albums on the go one for me and one for each of the girls. Lucy hasn't yet seen this finished page as I just pop them in as and when I finish a layout.

I just love the squeals of delight from the girls when look through it and see their added pages.

Well as I'm hibernating here inside today I'm going to do some more crafting - well once I have finished the housework (sorry didn't mean to swear)

The stamp set I was playing  before Mr Up's arrived with my pre-order from the upcoming New Spring/Summer Seasonal was My Little Valentine and the Simply Sent kit  that is on offer up until the 21st  January more details here

Here I have made little card to match the size of the envelope in the Simply Sent Kit, using the Small Heart and Scallop Edge Border punches  and one of the stamps from the My Little Valentine set

And on the inside of the card I have added one of the two designs of the notelets as my inner....

Talking Tag

With Talking Tag, you can send a gift that is uniquely you. Talking Tag is a message label you can attach to cards, invitations, gifts . . . anything! Personalise birthday cards, gifts or even record quick instructions for a recipe. Now your pictures really can say a thousand words!

How to send a voice message:
  1. Download the FREE TalkingTag™ App on you smartphone from talkingtag.mobi, iTunes® or Google Play™.
  2. Adhere the message tag to your card or gift.
  3. Open TalkingTag™ App and scan the code.
  4. Record your message (recording starts immediately, so make sure you’re ready!).

You will have the opportunity to listen, re-record, cancel, or confirm your message after you’ve completed recording it. Each label allows up to 60 seconds of a greeting, song, or product message.

To play the message, recipients will need to download the app and scan the code. Messages are saved for two years, so they can listen to it over and over.

How to Buy Talking Tags:
Buy ‘em by the sheet! You get 10 tags for just 9.50 €/£7.25 (item 129723). Contact me by email or call 07914 360625

Helpful Tips:

  • Adhere Talking Tag to a flat surface, otherwise the scanner can’t read the code.
  • Multiple tags can be attached to one surface, but don’t place them too close together. When scanning a message, you shouldn’t be able to see another code on the screen.
  • Do not write or place any decoration over the label.
  • Talking Tag has a permanent adhesive and cannot be repositioned once attached to a surface. Attempting to remove it could tear the label, making it impossible to listen to the content.
  • A Talking Tag message label can only hold one message. Once a message is confirmed, it cannot be deleted or re-recorded.
