Throwback Thursday

Throwback Thursday! I wanted to take a moment and share a card I created using my very first Stampin' Up! Stamp set "Summer by the Sea”. This image stole my ❤️ and played a big role in my decision to become a demonstrator. It holds a special place in my collection!

What was the first stamp set you bought?

2 cards same design

Today I’m sharing two cards using the same design but “jazzed” up differently.

This first one has a length of Lost Lagoon Ribbon with a cheats knot in it (this is where you tie a length of ribbon around your finger, knot it then slip it off and cut it to make the tales, or if you can’t do that try a friends or failing that a pencil)

The floral images is again stamped using Stampin’ Write Markers and the sentiment is from the Pansy Patch Stamp set.

This second one has the flowers stamped from the Quiet Meadow stamp set in Calypso Coral, Crushed Curry and Petal Pink on a piece of Very Vanilla card stock cut out using the Deckled Rectangle Dies.
And is embellished using the Brushed Brass Butterflies.

In the new September-December Mini Catalog there are New Deckled Circle Dies I overlooked them at first but they’re on there way to me with my other goodies and I can’t wait to play with them.

I do hope you’ve liked the selection of cards  I’ve shared with you over the past week using the Inked Botanicals Designer Series Paper.

Remember you can find all the products here at my online store.

Utilising 6x6 Designer Series Paper

This first card I’m sharing with you uses a whole sheet of 6x6 Inked Botanicals Designer Series Paper - nothing wasted.

Inked Botanicals

You simply cut of 1/2 inch from one side, make a couple of scores and add some plain cardstock to write on.

The sentiment is from a retired set Happiness Abounds which happened to be on my desk from a scrapbook layout I had just finished.

I will definitely be making more of these especially as I have loads of 6x6 papers in my stash.

Quiet Meadow

This second card again uses a scrap of Designer Series Paper along with a piece of Lost Lagoon cardstock which I ran through my Stampin’ Cut and Emboss Machine with the Exposed Brick 3D Embossing Folder.

The join is covered with a strip of Calypso Coral card stock, an image from the Quiet Meadow stamp set and finished off with some retired Gold Gems.

The sentiment comes from one of what I call a must have stamp set Go To Greetings

Basic Border Dies meet Inked Botanicals Designer Series Paper

I do love a monochromatic card, so here’s one featuring the Inked Botanicals Designer series paper, using Pool Party card stock, ink along with Whisper White.

To make the edge pop I chose one of the border dies from the Basic Border Die collection - there are 6 to choose from.

The floral image and dots are from the Quiet Meadow stamp set and the sentiment and tag are from the Something Fancy stamp set and dies

For this second card I’m sharing I started with a strip of Calypso Coral cardstock and ran it through the Exposed Brick 3D Embossing Folder

I then ran the base of my card and a strip of the Inked Botanicals DSP through my Stampin’ Cut and Emboss Machine.

After adhering the cardstock and DSP to the card base, I inked up an image from the Quiet Meadow stamp set using my Stampin’ Write Markers and die cut it out with a retired stitched circle die. Before adding this I looped some Bakers Twine behind it.

As the border would revealthe base of the card I added another strip of coordinating Inked Botanicals Designer Series paper.

Thank you for stopping by, please remember that if you’d like to order any of the products used on my cards then do visit my online store here.

Meadow Dies meets Inked Botanicals

Today’s two cards still focus on the Inked Botanicals Designer Series paper but show case others stamp sets and dies.

For this card I matted a piece of embossed card stock onto a piece of Pool Party Cardstock. I used one of the 3 folders from the Basics 3D Embossing Folder collection which is an online exclusive item.

Using the Meadow Dies, I cut a stem of leaves and elongated the label die to fit the sentiment from Go To Greetings. And finished it off with a retired gold gem.

For this second card as well as using the floral image from the Meadow Dies, I incorporated the Something Fancy stamp set and dies.

To finish the card off I added one of the gorgeous Brushed Brass Butterflies Gems.
